Ieri Sara è partita, cosi oggi continuo il mio viaggio in Myanmar solo… per modo di dire visto che qui la gente è talmente cordiale ed amichevole che basta veramente un sorriso ed un minimo di empatia per farsi nuovi amici.
Sara left yesterday so I continued travelling in Myanmar on my own…Well not really on my own, considering that people here are so nice and friendly that a smile and a bit of empathy are enough to make new friends.
Come prima cosa una volta alzato ho deciso di fare colazione in una zona non molto battuta della città dove, seguendo dei bambini, mi sono imbattuto in un tizio che cucina dei deliziosi manicaretti birmani.
After getting up, I decided to have breakfast in a scarcely visited area of the city, where, by following some kids, I ran into a guy who cooks delicious Myanmar food.
Subito dopo, avevo sentito di un famoso posto chiamato ”Dreamland” così mi sono messo a cercare questa fantastica isola di pace nel mezzo della trafficata Mandalasi. E dopo circa un ora di cammino mi sono trovato di fronte ad un edificio completamente diverso da tutti gli altri con una grossa statua all’ingresso..
Immediately after, since I had heard about a famous place called “Dreamland”, I started looking for this wonderful haven of peace in the middle of busy Mandalay. And after having walked for about one hour, I found myself in front of a building which was completely different from all the others and had a huge statue at the entrance.
Dreamlan non è una semplice guest house ma anche una scuola di musica, arte, scultura, pittura. Insomma una vera e propia oasi culturale super stimolante ed interessante.
È gestita da una famiglia di padre madre e 9 figlie/i cugini inclusi. Chiunque dal più grande al più piccolo parla inglese perfettamente ed ha una cordialità, gentilezza e disponibilità incredibile.
Dreamland is not just a guest house, but it is also a school of arts, music, sculpture, painting. In other words, a real cultural oasis, very stimulating and interesting.
It is managed by a family made up of father, mother and 9 sons/daughters/cousins. All of them, from the youngest to the oldest, speak English perfectly and are incredibly kind and helpful.

Here above you can see some of the “music rooms”, where every day several people come to take lessons.
E questo è il maestro di scultura.. le sue opere decorano la casa da dentro a fuori.. inclusa la statua grandissima che si vede nella facciata della casa.
And this is the sculpture teacher…His works decorate all the house, both inside and outside…included the huge statue you can see in front of the house.
La scuola è aperta a tutti e moltissimi ragazzi si cimentano in diverse forme di arte
The school is open to everyone and many kids engage in various forms of art.
Tutta la casa è stata decorata dalle figlie e con i quadri della madre e nel passare da una stanza all’altra non si finisce di scoprire stupendi quadri o semplici decorazioni d’arredo… molto colorate che mettono a propio agio
All the house has been decorated by the daughters with the paintings made by the mother, and while passing from one room to the next one you keep discovering wonderful paintings or decorations…very colorful and making you feel comfortable

Ok ok ora vi spiego… in Dreamland oltre ad esserci artisti pittori e musicisti ci sono anche veri e propi esperti di ogpuntura e medicina tradizionale cinese.
Così visto che ho un problemino alla mia caviglia ho deciso di provare a curarmi con l’agopuntura… Sophia la figlia più grande ha preso a cuore il mio caso e ha cercato con diverse sedute di risolvere il problema…
Potrei andare avanti per ore nel descrivere tutte le cose interessanti di Dreamland ma per ora mi limito ad un grande grazie..
Ok ok, I will explain you…In Dreamland, on top of artists, painters and musicians, there are real experts in Chinese medecine and acupuncture.
So, since I have a little problem with my ankle, I decided to try to treat it with acupuncture…Sophia, the oldest daughter, took care of my case and tried to solve the problem with some sessions…
I could keep talking for hours to describe all the interesting things I found in Dreamland, but for the time being I will just say a big thank you…
