Questo post \u00e8 un po\u2019 particolare, \u00e8 un viaggio nel viaggio.<\/p>\n

Ci eravamo lasciati a Marsala, a vedere tramonti da film. Ora ci ritroviamo\u2026 Boh! In un punto inprecisato nel mare tra Favignana e Marettimo. Incredibili Isole Egadi.<\/p>\n

Ecco, tra Favignana e Marettimo, si si c\u2019\u00e8 anche Levanzo ma non ci siamo passati quindi non possiamo esprimere un giudizio al riguardo, per noi vince Marettimo. Piccola, selvaggia, blu, verde, bianca e azzurra. Il suo mare \u00e8 di un blu incredibile, quel blu che genera un centinaio di fotografie nella nostra macchina fotografica perch\u00e9 invano cerchiamo la luce giusta per catturarlo. E\u2019 poi coperta di boschi di piccoli alberi, di un verde scintillante. In un punto preciso della costa si trova il \u201cPaese\u201d, tutto bianco e azzurro. Ci sono due porti, uno per quando non soffia il vento e l\u2019altro per proteggere le barche quando il mare \u00e8 troppo agitato. Le barche le trovi quasi sulla strada mentre cammini.<\/p>\n

This post is a bit ‘special, it is a journey in the journey.<\/em><\/p>\n

Last time We left in Marsala, with the movie-style sunset. Now we find ourselves … Boh! Somewhere in the sea between Favignana and Marettimo. Incredible Egadi Islands.<\/em><\/p>\n

Yep, between Favignana and Marettimo, there is also Levanzo but we did not pass by so we cannot include it in our Egadi\u2019s the best of list. To sum for us Marettimo is the place that wins the competition. Small, wild, light blue, green, white and blue. The sea is of an incredible blue, the blue that generates hundreds of photos in our camera because we try to catch the right light. But no way this blue is unique. The island is also covered with forests of small trees  of a sparkling green. At some point on the coast there is the village, called village, no more. This village is all white and blue. There are two ports, one for when the wind does not blow and the other to protect the boats when the sea is too rough. The boats are almost on the street while walking.<\/em><\/p>\n

Noi non siamo arrivati direttamente in paese. Nota: in questi giorni stavamo viaggiando in barca a vela quindi i nostri spostamenti dipendevano dal mare e dall\u2019accessibilit\u00e0 dei porti. Ecco invece che arrivare direttamente in paese ci siamo prima fermati a Cala Manione e, dopo la pasta aglio olio e peperoncino delle 16.30, siamo saliti, prima a nuoto e poi a piedi, al castello di Punta Troia, per gli amici Punta Bagascia. Bellissimo, sembrava di essere in mezzo ai Caraibi, aspettando di veder spuntare una nave pirata, o perch\u00e9 no Peter Pan, da un momento all\u2019altro.<\/p>\n

Da Punta Troia abbiamo scelto di raggiungere il paese a piedi, per un sentiero costiero un po\u2019 in quota che regala dei panorami meravigliosi. Da dire che li ti senti un po\u2019 spaesato\u2026 il sentiero e le rocce sembrano quelle alpine, gli odori ed i suoni ti ricordano la pineta toscana, il panorama \u00e8 assolutamente da mare siciliano.<\/p>\n

Giunti in paese abbiamo trascorso una piacevole serata. Le emozioni pi\u00f9 forti per\u00f2 spettano al giorno dopo, quando navigando abbiamo raggiunto altre cale. Avete gi\u00e0 capito che acqua e che spiagge ci siamo potuti godere quel giorno.<\/p>\n

Ciliegina sulla torta, rientrando a Marsala abbiamo visto i delfini e abbiamo fatto il bagno in un punto il cui il mare era attraversato da una corrente calda e l\u2019acqua sembrava quella delle terme di Merano !<\/p>\n

When we arrived in Marettimo we did not get directly to the village. Note: In these days we were traveling on a sailing boat then our movements depended on the sea and accessibility of ports. So in Marettimo to enjoy a quiet sea we first stop at Cala Manione and, after the \u201caglio olio and peperoncino \u201c pasta at 4.30 p.m., we first swam and then walk to the castle of Punta Troia, that is Punta Bagascia for friends. Amazing! It seemed to be in the middle of the Caribbean, waiting to see a pirate ship, or why not Peter Pan, from time to time.<\/em><\/p>\n

From Punta Troia we chose to reach the village on foot, for a coastal path a bit higher that gives amazing views. The trail is a mix… the rocks seem to those from Alpi, the smells and the sounds remind you of the pine forests in Toscany, the view is absolutely Sicilian sea.<\/em><\/p>\n

Once in town we spent a pleasant evening. The strongest emotions, however, belong to the day after, when with the boat we reached additional hauls. You have already figured out what kind of amazing water and beaches we have been able to enjoy that day.<\/em><\/p>\n

That night we went back to Marsala. However on the way back  to Marsala we saw dolphins and we went swimming at a point where the sea was passed by an hot sea current hot and the water was somewhat like a termal bath.<\/em><\/p>\n

Rientrati a terra, il giorno successivo, ci aspettavano altre sorprese. Si perch\u00e9 farsi un giro della Sicilia in dieci giorni non ti d\u00e0 tregua, ogni giorno non puoi non vedere qualcosa di nuovo.<\/p>\n

Questa volta toccava a Selinunte ed al suo parco archeologico ed alla riserva della foce del Belice.<\/p>\n

Per chi \u00e8 appassionato di storia, o per chi ha fatto studi umanistici e della Magna Grecia ne ha sentito parlare anche troppo, il parco \u00e8 magico. Ovviamente non rimangono che le rovine dei templi, o degli ammassi di pietre, o degli accenni di strade, ma l\u2019atmosfera rende l\u2019idea. Sebbene i templi una volta fossero colorati e decorati, e quindi il loro aspetto oggi non \u00e8 proprio quello che gli architetti greci si erano prefissati, il loro color ocra si sposa con la vegetazione secca, il verde delle palme e di alcuni alberi pi\u00f9 coraggiosi e con il blu od azzurro intensissimo del cielo. O forse era solo il caldo e l\u2019idea di visitare i templi all\u2019una del pomeriggio che ci ha fatto avere queste visioni di perfetta armonia.<\/p>\n

Rientrati a terra, il giorno successivo, ci aspettavano altre sorprese. Si perch\u00e9 farsi un giro della Sicilia in dieci giorni non ti d\u00e0 tregua, ogni giorno non puoi non vedere qualcosa di nuovo.<\/p>\n

The next day, more surprises were ready for us. Yes, a ten day tour of Sicily does not give you any pause. You would see every day something new.<\/em><\/p>\n

This time it was up to Selinunte and its archaeological park and the reserve of the mouth of the river Belice.<\/em><\/p>\n

For those interested in history, or for those who did humanities and heard about Magna Grecia even too much, the park is magic. Obviously there are only the ruins of the temples, or clusters of stones, or hints of roads, but the atmosphere gives the idea. Although the temples were once colored and decorated, and therefore their appearance today is not just what the Greek architects had in mind, their ocher-colored blends with the dry color of the vegetation, with the green of some breavest trees and with the light blue or intense blue of the sky. Or maybe it was just the hot weather and the idea of \u200b\u200bvisiting the temples at one o’clock in the afternoon that made us having these visions of perfect harmony.<\/em><\/p>\n

Scendendo alla foce del fiume del Belice le nostre aspettative sono state un po\u2019 deluse. Quando leggi \u201criserva naturale\u201d all\u2019entrata del sentiero che porta alla spiaggia ti aspetti che sia una riserva naturale, in cui non \u00e8 permesso nemmeno lasciare un fazzolettino di carta biodegradabile. Invece no\u2026 appena sbucati sulla spiaggia ci siamo trovati di fronte ad un bello stabilimento balneare propriet\u00e0 del vicino albergo\u2026insomma non proprio una riserva. Comunque il mare siciliano \u00e8 il mare siciliano e tra un bagno, una dormita sotto il sole e una passeggiata alla foce del fiume ce la siamo passata.<\/p>\n

Going down to the estuary of the river Belice our expectations were a little ‘disappointed. When you read “natural reserve” at the entrance of the path leading to the beach you expect it to be a natural reserve, where is not even allowed to leave a biodegradable tissue. But no … just when you turned up on the beach you are in the middle of a nice bathhouse property of the nearby hotel. That is not a natural reserve. However, the Sicilian sea is nice in any case so between a bath, a nap in the sun and a walk to the mouth of the river time passed also there.<\/em><\/p>\n

La sera, previa tappa al mercato del pesce d Mazara del Vallo, ci siamo meritati un\u2019ottima grigliata di pesce! Curioso che, tutti intenzionati a grigliare ed a mangiare, nessuno si sia offerto di pulire i poveri animaletti. Ci ha pensato l\u2019amico pescatore, sotto i nostri sguardi direi \u201cschifati\u201d.<\/p>\n

In the evening, after a stop at the fish market of Mazara del Vallo, we were ready for  some excellent grilled fish! Curious that, all committed in  grilling and eating, no one has offered to clean the poor animals. The friendly fisherman did it for us, right before our, I would say “disgusted”, eyes.<\/em><\/p>\n

Un commento a s\u00e9 lo merita questa foto. Ebbe si, la brioche  gelato con due gusti pi\u00f9 panna, che alla gelateria di Mazara \u00e8 veramente speciale, non \u00e8 un caso fortuito ed isolato di questa vacanza. E\u2019 piuttosto un rito, che il nostro viaggiatore ha ripetuto e assaporato per tutta la vacanza. Attenzione\u2026genera astinenza una volta tornati nel Nord Europa \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

This photo is worth a proper comment. Well the ice-cream sandwich with two tastes plus cream, that is really good in Marsala, it is not a unlucky accident of this holiday. It is more a ceremony that Giovanni repeated for all the holiday. Keep attention\u2026this ritual generates problems of abstinence once back to the north territories.<\/em><\/p>\n
