In Cambodia people are experts to recycle the most unthinkable things. For example, they create ships from the remaining fly bombs. Also they created a nice tourist attraction from a dismissed railway.
Today I decided to try the “bamboo train” with some friends of mine met at the hostel.
The track is only one and the little carts rolling on it are on average 15. Since the line to go forth and come back is the same whenever you meet a cart rolling in the the opposite direction, one of the two has to be put temporarily off the rail.
Here is an example of our train being reset on track. The bamboo train is completely managed by the locals and this is the main activity for more than 30 people.
